Question: Are there any Star Wars books about Boba Fett for adults?

If there are adult books about Boba Fett, I imagine that they're in some sort of series, so a time line would be helpful too. I'd read one-off books as well. Anything, really, as long as it's not for kids. I really don't know where to begin. (I'm not looking for comics.)

Answer: erin7 is pretty much, as far as she goes, right on with what she says. She missed a couple of stories in which Boba plays a big role in. The Bounty Hunter Wars is a 3 book set set right around the time of the events of ep VI. The 3 books are titled ... "The Mandalorian Armor", "Slave Ship", & "Hard Merchandise" ... I haven't read that series but I would have to think that Fett plays a very large role in the series. The other one is called "Boba Fett: A Practical Man" ... it is an ebook set 25 years after the events of ep IV.

Unfortunately, most of the best "Fett stories" are done by Dark Horse comics and you say you're not looking for comics. In many ways I would agree with you but if you haven't read any of the SW (Star Wars) titles they have put out I would say you might want to pick one up just to give it a quick "look-see" ... Dark Horse is not your "normal" comic producer ... they have done some really great stuff in the SW universe.

The "Tales" books she mention do have some really great "Fett stories" in them but they are hard to punch into the general time line of SW because they tend to jump all over the place. That being said there are some really good stories in them. The best of them is the one that tells how he "got away" from the Sarlacc that he got tossed into in ep VI.

There are actually 2 Han Solo Trilogies ... they were written about 20 apart from each other and it is hard to put both of them together in the time line but I'm sure she's thinking about the most recent one and Fett plays a HUGE role is some parts of that trilogy. The last book of this trilogy ends with Han going into a cantina where he meets up with Chewie and Chewie tells him about this old man, young boy, and two droids that need a ride to Alderaan.

"Shadows Of The Empire" is a good book with a lot of "Fett" in it. This book has a lot of different story lines running through it and seeing them all tangle together and then sort themselves out is pretty cool. In this book we see the "troubles" Fett had getting Han to Jabba. Every bounty hunter in the galaxy was lined up between Bespin and Tatoonie waiting to ambush him and "steal" Han from him. Luke, Leia, Chewie, & Lando are also trying to "hunt him down" ... we find out how Leia got the bounty hunter uniform we see her wear in ep VI at the beginning ... we also get a little look at the "internal workings" of the Empire ... all the little guys trying to gain favor with Emperor Palpatine. We are introduced to a couple of new characters most notably Prince Xixor, the head of the Black Sun Crime Syndicate and Dash Rendar, a Han Solo like character ... we also get a chance to crawl inside Vader's helmet with him and learn some of his darkest desires ... the guy is just a little "Whacked" and that's being nice ... lol ... all in all a good book.

I do have to disagree with her about "The Unifying Force" and "Bloodlines". As she says, TUF is the last book in a long series ... a 21 book series, if you count the two ebooks, that spans a intergalactic war with an species called the Yuzzhan Vong who invade from a different galaxy. All in all a great series and one that all our "heros" don't make it through. Fett actually pops up here and there through out the series but he does play a larger part in the last two books, The Final Prophecy and TUF.

"Bloodlines" is book two in a 9 book series called "Legacy Of The Force". Lots & lots & LOTS about Fett in this book and series. I have to admit that at first I didn't think I would like them giving Fett as big a part as they did in this series but it has worked like a charm ... just a little bit of a spoiler about this series that shows the irony ... Hans daughter goes to Fett for "training" so she can go hunt down her twin brother who has turned to the dark side and taken over his grandfathers role as a dark lord of the sith ... very ironic ... to me anyways.

I guess if you haven't read many of the books you could pick these up for just their "Fett value" but much of the rest of the stories with leave you lost.
