Question: Why did Jango Fett want Senator Amidala dead?
In Episode II of Star Wars
Ok. He was paid to do it. But why? What did she have to do with anything?Answer: He wasn't paid by Darth Sidious to kill Amidala. Sidious DID pay him to be the "templet" for the clones but that was all Sidious had to do with Jango and even that was hard to trace given the way Jango was "hired" to be the templet.
In respect to Padme Amidala, Jango Fett was after all a bounty hunter. He was hired by Nute Gunray, the Viceroy of the Trade Federation, to kill Padme. Why did Gunray want her dead ... simple ... because she was one of the main players who stopped the Trade Federations blockade and invasion of Naboo. Gunray never served a day in jail for the Naboo mess but he still wanted her killed for all the trouble that she had caused him.
